A cryptocurrency company from Turkey turned out to be a victim of hacker attacks. According to the information received, on February 14, cryptocurrencies worth more than 13 million lire (which is equivalent to $ 2.48 million) were stolen from the company’s accounts, as reported by the local Daily Sabah.
The name of the affected crypto-company has not yet been disclosed due to investigative actions. Law enforcement agencies and the cyber police of Istanbul were able to detain the attackers in hot pursuit.

The company contacted the police on the morning of February 14th. It is assumed that the theft of Bitcoins and Ether and XRP tokens was committed on the night of February 13-14. According to the information about the first investigative actions, the Turkish police’s anti-cybercrime unit confirmed the hacking of two company wallets.

It became known that 25 people participated in the theft, 24 of whom are currently arrested. 6 participants of the hacker operation were left under arrest until the court decision. The rest are released under judicial control. One of the participants has not yet been able to delay.
