platform that allows customers to buy tokens, stocks, gold and other traditional assets.

The project is reportedly supported by two companies, Larnabel Ventures and VP Capital. The government of Belarus has not yet commented on the launch of the platform.

Platform functions

The platform will allow traders to purchase stocks, precious metals, foreign currency and other traditional assets from Belarus, as well as from other countries using cryptocurrency.

Since the launch of the platform, 150 different types of tokens have been released, each of which corresponds to a traditional financial instrument. The company expects to eventually increase this number to 10,000.

According to an article by Reuters news corporation, the government of Belarus exempted securities transactions from taxation until 2023. However, when registering on a new platform, traders will have to go through the AML check procedure.

Reuters reported that the platform received 2,000 registration requests within the first two hours of launch.

The priority of digital technology

The Minister of Communications and Informatization of the country, Sergey Popkov, said that digital technologies are a priority for Belarus because of their ability to transform the economy, public administration and social services.

On January 3, 2019, DX Exchange, an Estonian trading platform, announced a product similar to the one launched in Belarus, allowing customers to buy tokenized securities that are supported by shares of various large companies, including Google, Facebook and Amazon.
