West Australian police confiscated cryptocurrency for a record amount of Australian $1.52 million (US $1 million) during a drug arrest.
Police arrested a 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, the Australian Border Force (ABF) reported on Wednesday, December 4th.
During the investigation, police seized an electronic device and discovered cryptocurrency in the amount of 1524,102 Australian dollars.
“Cryptocurrency hijacking is considered the most valuable hijacking of this kind made by the US police.” said Paul Matthews, senior detective and officer in charge of the drug and firearms department.
