The LocalBitcoins platform encourages not to use the Tor browser

A screenshot appeared on Twitter from the LocalBitcoins website where the platform warns users about the risks associated with using Tor Browser

The risk of working with the Tor browser

An official comment from LocalBitcoins appeared on September 10, in which the company reiterates that using Tor Browser will not contradict their own terms of service, although its use is not recommended.

"Warning to all Tor users: The Tor browser puts you at risk of stealing your BTC", – the alert reads.

The explanation for this warning may be related to the recent discovery of some privacy issues that are based on the Tor browser, but which were actually promptly updated last week.
