For several days already, Electrum's Bitcoin wallet servers have been under the DoS hacker attack. During this time, several million dollars in Bitcoins were stolen from wallets. The news was posted on the company's Twitter account, as well as in The Next Web.

DoS attacks on Electrum wallets
More than 14,000 bots make the attack, offering users to upgrade their Electrum wallet software. During the update, the client is transferred to the fake site, and when the wallet is restarted, all Bitcoins are removed from the account.
According to sources, several million dollars have been stolen at BTC now. Wallet security services ascertained the theft of 140,000 Bitcoin from one client repository. In this case, more than a hundred Electrum Wallet hacked. The wallet development company warns that it is impossible to update the service software, the global "native" updates were disabled on April 7th.
"Currently Electrum servers are under DoS attack. We are working on a more reliable version of the Electrum server. In the meantime, users must turn off automatic connection and manually select their server", – Electrum, Twitter.

140 thousand hacker bots broke into Electrum's Bitcoin wallet servers and stole millions of dollars. Recall that on March 30, Bithumb, the South Korean stock-exchange, was also hacked by hacker bots, and on March 24, the Dragon exchanger suffered from malicious attacks.
