The purpose of the social project
They specialize in developing open source projects and try to solve serious environmental problems. With the help of this grant from the Social Alpha Foundation, Yale openlab plans to become the first institution to connect the blockchain to climate change solutions.
The grant will go down into two main target projects that Yale openlab is currently working on. The first is the consolidation of the blockchain system based on skills, and the second is the launch of a system called the Open Earth Challenge, the purpose of which is to create an open source blockchain structure for a decentralized consensus on the carbon budget of the Earth.
The long-term goal of the Yale openlab is to introduce a framework adopted throughout the world in orderOrder

Yale openlab founder Martin Weinstein, Ph.D., spoke about how this grant will help them achieve their goal: "Climate change is a global problem that requires immediate action and special attention. Our Earth’s atmosphere may contain a limited amount of CO2 emissions before the global average temperature rises above what’s considered safe for humanity. (...) Currently, if emissions are left without control, our limited carbon budget can be spent in just 15 years. This problem requires people and organizations to cooperate on an unprecedented scale."
The Social Alpha Foundation supported Yale openlab, a social blockchain-project. "We believe that the correct use of blockchain technology is a solution that will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the environment" – Martin Weinstein.
