Coinbase crypto-exchange updated the Coinbase Wallet app and added Bitcoin (BTC), – according to the announcement of the exchange, published on February 5th.
In August 2018, Coinbase announced that Toshi, a decentralized application browser and open source wallet developed by Coinbase, will be renamed Coinbase Wallet.

Coinbase Wallet, the Coinbase crypto-exchange app update, will be released for iOS and Android next week. Bitcoin support will be activated by default, as soon as users decide to get a coin to the wallet. The user's personal keys will be encrypted on the phone using Secure Enclave technology.
The ad says that the Coinbase Wallet maintains SegWit and Legacy addresses. In addition, the application supports Bitcoin Testnet for developers and advanced users. Coinbase also reiterated that it is considering adding Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC) and other major cryptocurrencies to its Coinbase Wallet.

On February 5th, Coinbase launched support for residents of the European Union for the withdrawal of online payments using PayPal.
In January, the American exchange added resources to customers in the United States requiring cryptocurrency on its taxes, and integrated their systems with TurboTax, a popular tax software.
