The French government wants to tax the exchange of cryptocurrencies for fiat. And this is not the only innovation of the authorities.
France introduces new crypto-taxes
The head of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Mare, said that the authorities plan to introduce a tax on the exchange of cryptocurrencies. "Bribe" will be pulled only if a citizen exchanges coins for fiat currencies. It is reported by Bloomberg.
The authorities also want to impose a value added tax on cryptocurrency transactions. It will be applied in the case of the purchase of assets and services for cryptocurrencies.
Bruno Le Mare did not tell how much the crypto-enthusiasts would have to pay, but said that France was already introducing this approach.
